Severfield makes CDP's 'A List' for climate change – for the second year running!
Severfield secures ‘A’ score for climate leadership in CDP's 2024 disclosure
SustainabilityWe are thrilled to announce that as a result of our annual environmental disclosure submitted to CDP in 2024, Severfield has been given an ‘A’ score for transparency on climate, securing our place on CDP’s A List for Climate for the second year running.
CDP is a global non-profit organisation that runs the world’s environmental disclosure system and holds the largest environmental database in the world, and it scores organisations from D to A, with A representing ‘Leadership’ in the field. In order to be awarded an ‘A’ for climate change by the CDP, and secure the associated ‘leadership’ status, organisations need to have shown that they are behaving like industry leaders when it comes to their practices.
Severfield’s place on the CDP’s ‘A List’ again this year demonstrates our thorough understanding of risks and opportunities related to climate change, and that we have formulated and implemented strategies to mitigate the effects of our operations on the environment. Additionally, we are thrilled to have received a B score for ‘Water’ disclosure for the first time, reflecting our strong performance in managing this important resource.
“Earning a place on the CDP A List for the second year in a row is a testament to our commitment to sustainability and climate leadership. This recognition reinforces our dedication to driving meaningful change and setting a high standard for corporate responsibility. We remain committed in our journey toward a more sustainable future for all that is ever-evolving." Michaela Lindridge, Head of ESG at Severfield
In a year of ever-increasing environmental concerns around the world – from extreme weather to unprecedented losses to nature – the need for transformational, urgent, and collaborative change remains more important than ever. Severfield looks forward to continuing its work on improving our ways of working and making even more progress in relation to the climate in the years to come.
CDP is a global non-profit organisation that runs the world’s environmental disclosure system for companies, cities, states and regions.
