Severfield's 'Street in the Sky' is now open

We worked alongside BAM UK & Ireland and Glasgow City Council to supply and install the steelwork of this 58-metre-long pedestrian and cyclist footbridge across the M8, connecting Sighthill and Glasgow city centre.

In total, 17 complex steel assemblies were transported to the temporary offline build position site and welded together whilst on temporary trestles. We also manufactured and transported the curved abutments as one complete assembly, these were then lifted into position by crane, ready to receive the bridge.

The completed structure looks amazing. Well done to all involved.
