Our scope of work primarily involved supplying and erecting approximately 408 tonnes of hot rolled steel for the main frame of the building. This impressive structure spans approximately 75 meters in length and 33 meters in width, reaching a height of 17 meters at the ridge, with parapets from Finished Floor Level (FFL).

The steelwork provided by Severfield was coated with a combination of primed paint for internal steel and fire-protected paint for perimeter areas, ensuring compliance with stringent safety standards ranging from 60 to 120 minutes of fire protection. Additionally, our team implemented Seversafe measures, securing the perimeter and open edges with 1.8 meters high protection.

Beyond the structural steelwork, Severfield's responsibilities extended to installing approximately 5,000 square meters of metal decking, specifically CMF Metfloor 60, complete with Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) risers for floor openings. This integration of decking and risers enhances both the structural integrity and safety features of the building.

A notable highlight of our contribution to the Digital Life project was the installation of precast stairs and a metal feature stair, which not only serve functional purposes but also contribute to the architectural appeal and user experience of the building.

In addition to steelwork and decking, Severfield undertook the concrete package for the project, further showcasing our comprehensive capabilities in delivering integrated construction solutions.
